Qualifications/Experience: Minimum age: 18 years old High School Diploma/GED preferred Bachelors degree in education, recreation or other related field preferred. Must complete 16 hours of training per requirements listed in 142C.08, Subd.02 . Moderate experience working with youth in educational, recreation or childcare settings required Successful DCYF background check required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Needed: General knowledge of childcare practices and techniques, general knowledge of children?s developmental and social growth expectations and needs, ability to work with school age children. Exemplifies the following Five Character Traits: compassion, respect, responsibility, self discipline and honesty. Specific Tasks: Onsite supervisor for Adventure Center Program, providing before and/or after school, non school day, and summer programming for Kindergarten through fifth grade students. Works collaboratively with building staff and families in providing high quality, inclusive, and engaging activities for students. Provides daily oversight and coaching for staff to ensure a welcoming and positive learning environment for all. Provides daily oversight of all operations and functions of the program. See job description for additional information. Hours Per Day: 12:00-6:00 p.m., school attendance days located at Isanti Intermediate school. Up to 8 hours per day on non school days and during the summer program located at Cambridge Primary Intermediate school.
