High school diploma or equivalent ? 1-3 years'' work-related experience Preferred ? Bilingual ? Basic cashiering skills ? Knowledge of customer service principles POSITION SUMMARY: The Kitchen Helper is responsible for performing routine kitchen duties including food preparation, serving breakfast and/or lunch to students and staff, dishwashing, cashiering, and cleaning. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: ? Prepare food as directed by head cooks ? Set up serving lines ? Serve food to students and staff ? Keep service areas and food dispensers cleaned and stocked ? Count and record quantities of food sold on daily and weekly sheets ? Compile food and supply orders ? Receive money for cash sales in ala carte line ? Assist with cleaning the kitchen, cooking equipment, and serving areas, including operating commercial dishwashing equipment ? Other duties as assigned PHYSICAL FACTORS: ? Frequent: walking, standing, sitting, hearing, talking, seeing, and repetitive motions ?
