Cedar Mountain School District JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Nurse (LPN or RN) Reports to: Building Principal FLSA Status: Hourly Schedule : Monday - Friday 7:35am - 3:35pm Position Available: 2026-2027 school year NATURE OF WORK The LPN assists with students'' daily routine health care, medications, treatments, episodic and first-aid care, and manages the school''s Health Services Office under the supervision of the Licensed School Nurse (LSN). Will provide more individualized and potentially complex medical care to student(s). Includes supporting student(s) in classroom settings, monitoring medical needs as well as educational supports as directed by teacher/case manager. IDEAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license Current CPR certification ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manage site Health Services Office Maintain confidentiality in all areas related to students Obtained required verification of immunizations Accurately complete/maintain a variety of records, including services to students with IEPs Assists with routine assessments such as vision and hearing screenings Attends required district, building, or nursing meetings and trainings Will provide more individualized and potentially complex medical cares to student(s) Handle written/verbal communications with parents and staff in a professional manner Dispense medication and provide treatment as prescribed Provide first aid as needed Other duties as assigned PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The physical demands described here are representative of those an employee must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
