Position Summary
West Central Area Schools is seeking a dedicated Middle School English Language Arts Teacher to join our team. This position delivers engaging, standards-based instruction that helps students build the reading, writing, and communication skills they need for ongoing academic success. The teacher works under the guidance of the Principal, with occasional supervision of paraprofessionals or volunteers.

Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver differentiated Language Arts instruction aligned to Minnesota state standards
Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual learning needs
Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports student growth
Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and families to support student achievement
Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate progress regularly
Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives
Qualifications
Bachelor''s degree in Education or related field
Valid Minnesota teaching license
Proven teaching ability, preferably at the middle school level
Strong interpersonal and classroom management skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
