The Hearts and Minds Learning Community school in SW Minneapolis is hiring a Part-Time (2 days/week) Early Middle Enrichment Educator to lead our program serving homeschool hybrid learners in approximately 5th - 7th grades (ages 11-13). We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced educator to lead a small homeschool enrichment community serving learners ages 11?13 (approximately 5th?7th grade learning levels). Our program meets two days per week (9:30 a.m.?3:30 p.m.) Mondays and Wednesdays, and provides homeschooled students with a safer, welcoming community where they receive both individualized academic support and collaborative, project-based learning with peers. Families continue using their own homeschool curriculum at home while students attend our enrichment program for academic guidance, social connection and interdisciplinary learning. QUALIFICATIONS * Experience teaching, tutoring, mentoring or leading youth programs for upper elementary or middle school students (ages 10-13). * Experience in homeschool, co-op, alternative education, camps, enrichment programs and/or project-based learning environments is highly preferred. * Strong classroom leadership and group facilitation skills. * Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities with students, families and colleagues. * Creativity, flexibility and enthusiasm for designing engaging learning experiences. * The ability to differentiate instruction and support students with varying learning styles and academic needs. * A collaborative, positive, and growth-oriented mindset. EDUCATION AND LICENSING A current state teaching license is NOT required for this position. Candidates must have relevant experience working with students in this age group. SCHEDULE Part-time, Two days per week (Mondays and Wednesdays) 9:00 a.m.?4:00 p.m. Masks are required to help protect our learners living with high-risk and chronic conditions.
