Long-Term Substitute Teacher 2nd Grade Start Date- Approximately September 28, 2026-January 29, 2027 Date Closing: Open Until Filled Job Summary: Lake Ripley Elementary School is seeking a dedicated, student-centered Long-Term Substitute Teacher to provide instructional services for a 2nd-grade classroom during an extended teacher absence. The successful candidate will create a positive learning environment, implement district curriculum, foster strong relationships with students and families, and collaborate effectively with staff to support student growth and achievement. Essential Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging instruction aligned with Minnesota Academic Standards and district curriculum. Create a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student learning and positive behavior. Assess student learning and use data to inform instructional decisions. Maintain accurate student records, attendance, and grades as required. Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff regarding student progress and classroom activities. Collaborate with grade-level teams, specialists, support staff, and administration. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students. Implement accommodations and modifications as outlined in student educational plans. Participate in staff meetings, professional learning opportunities, and school events as appropriate. Qualifications Valid Minnesota Teaching License in Elementary Education or ability to obtain appropriate substitute teaching credentials. Strong classroom management and organizational skills. Knowledge of elementary instructional practices and child development. Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
