Under the direct mentorship of an experienced Building Principal, you will play a key role in driving student achievement and ensuring the efficient operation of our school. Why This Role? Mentorship: Work side-by-side with a Building Principal to learn the nuances of school leadership. Impact: Directly influence school culture, student success, and instructional excellence. Professional Growth: Engage in high-level professional development, workshops, and conferences tailored to future school leaders. Fixed-Term Opportunity: This position is typically for one or two academic years, providing a focused window for intensive leadership development. What You Will Do As a core member of the administrative team, your responsibilities will span every aspect of school leadership: Instructional Leadership: Collaborate with teachers to implement best practices, observe classroom instruction, provide feedback, and analyze data to boost student learning. Student Support & Well-being: Monitor student behavior and attendance, respond to student concerns, and implement interventions that promote a positive school climate. School Operations: Support the implementation of school policies, coordinate logistics for major events, and ensure daily operations run smoothly. Community Engagement: Build strong, positive relationships with parents and community stakeholders while representing the school at various events. Administrative Management: Assist with scheduling, correspondence, and the preparation of vital school reports and presentations. Minimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelor''s degree in Education or a related field (Master''s degree preferred). Skills: Strong communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills, with the ability to provide work direction and handle challenging situations with professionalism. Preferred Candidates: Applicants who are currently enrolled in or eligible for a K-12 Principal Licensure Program . Note: Fully licensed MN Principal candidates will be considered if no suitable non-licensed applicants apply . Work Environment Schedule: Generally aligns with regular school hours, though flexibility is required to meet school needs. Classification: Exempt, Teacher Bargaining Unit.
