Our facilities team plays an important role in creating and maintaining that environment. We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Facilities Personnel team member to support the daily care, maintenance, and operation of our school building and grounds. This is a 0.5 FTE, part-time position that is well suited for an individual who takes pride in their work, enjoys working independently, and is comfortable responding to a variety of building, grounds, and maintenance needs. Position Summary The Facilities Personnel is responsible for routine maintenance, repairs, groundskeeping, inspections, and general facility support. This position works as part of the Facility Team and reports to Administration and/or the designated facilities supervisor. The ideal candidate is reliable, practical, safety-conscious, and able to identify maintenance needs and take appropriate action within the scope of their training and responsibilities. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver''s license appropriate for vehicles and equipment required for the position, with no serious violations. Three years of relevant maintenance experience preferred. Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in several areas of facility maintenance, such as: Plumbing Painting Carpentry Masonry, concrete, or tile Electrical Mechanical systems HVAC Roof repair Plastering or spackling Field and playground maintenance Furniture repair Small engine repair Ability to safely operate and maintain tools, vehicles, machinery, and equipment. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and respond appropriately to changing needs. What You''ll Do Perform routine lawn and landscaping duties, including mowing, weeding, trimming, and related grounds maintenance. Remove snow and ice from walks, driveways, parking areas, and steps through shoveling, plowing, sanding, and/or other appropriate methods. Perform general building maintenance and repairs within the scope of assigned responsibilities, training, and experience. Conduct routine inspections of the building, grounds, equipment, and facility systems. Report safety hazards, equipment problems, damage, vandalism, and needed repairs promptly. Assist with ensuring the building and grounds are safe, clean, functional, and ready for daily school operations. Respond appropriately to maintenance-related emergencies and perform necessary repairs within the scope of training and responsibilities. Maintain accurate logs of inspections, maintenance activities, and repairs. Identify projects or repairs that require specialized expertise and communicate those needs to the appropriate administrator or supervisor. Assist with maintaining compliance with applicable safety, health, fire, and environmental requirements. Monitor supplies and communicate when parts, materials, or equipment need to be ordered. Safely operate, clean, and maintain tools and equipment used in the performance of assigned duties. Assist with facility preparation for school activities, events, and community use. Work cooperatively with other members of the Facility Team during emergencies, severe weather, building issues, and other situations requiring additional support. Use computers or electronic equipment as needed for work orders, maintenance records, communication, and other job responsibilities. Attend required meetings and training, including safety and Right-To-Know training. Maintain confidentiality and exercise appropriate discretion in the performance of professional duties. Interact positively and professionally with students, staff, families, contractors, vendors, and community members. Perform other duties within the scope of employment as assigned by Administration or the designated supervisor.
