The Translator/Cultural Liaison encourages and empowers all minorities to become active participants in the educational activities and programs of their children. The primary purpose of this position is to ensure successful education for all minority students. Assists parents by responding to the needs of students and their families, supports development of healthy, positive family attitudes toward academic success, attendance at school, and student development; provides information about locating resources, and developing the skills necessary to advocate for their individual, family and cultural needs within the school.
