New Heights School of Stillwater, MN is seeking an individual to staff the school''s health office. The health office attendant will assist the District Nurse in: providing general care and first aid for ill or injured students; administering annual hearing and vision screening; & ensuring the standards of health care are met throughout the school. Day-to-day responsibilities include addressing the daily needs of the students; administering prescribed meds to students and keeping accurate and confidential records; maintaining health records for all students; helping to meet the needs of particular students who may have specific health plans on file; communicating with families about health related issues; and other duties that may be assigned by the school''s administrator. Qualifications of ideal candidates include: 2 or more years of post-secondary education; certification in first aid and CPR; has interest and appreciation of working with children; possesses general office skills including working with technology, keyboarding, and has the ability to learn and interact with new software. This is a great part-time, seasonal position based on a typical school calendar. No nights, weekends or holidays, and the position does not include the summer months between June 1st through Mid-August. Hours can be negotiated up to 29 hours per week and the candidates must be able to work Monday-Friday most weeks of the school year.
