September 1, 2026 Willmar Public Schools is currently seeking applicants for the position of Bilingual Paraprofessional, English and Somali. The Bilingual Paraprofessional Provides academic support for limited English-speaking students. Assist second language students in reading and language development. Communicate with students, teachers, school personnel, and families in two different languages (English and Somali). Position Bilingual Paraprofessional (English and Somali) Location Roosevelt Elementary School Rate of Pay $17.25 per hour Hours Per Day 7, 8:00 am - 3:30 pm Schedule (Approximately) School Days Only Working Days per Year 173 - School Calendar 2026-2027 School Year Benefits Benefits may be prorated based upon start date. General knowledge of the practices, methods and techniques used in the teaching of other languages. ? Basic proficiency in routine aspects of a Bilingual Paraprofessional. ? Excellent communication skills in English and Somali. ? Ability to maintain confidentiality. ? Ability to follow the teacher''s plan and direction, and communicate effectively with students and staff. ? Experience of up to one year in a job-related field (i.e., working with children and families; working with diverse communities and families.)
