Special Education Job Coach School: To Be Determined For specific information please contact: Patricia Lange at LangeP@District112.org Position Start Date: ASAP Position Days/Hours: Student contact days; 6.5 hrs/day, Days and Times TBD Salary: $25.99/hr (Tier 6) Responsible To: Special Education Supervisor and Building Principal Position Purpose: A job coach provides support to high school or transition age students with special education needs for community-based employment. They work under the direction of a work experience/work-based learning coordinator and require specialized training over and beyond that required by resource paraprofessionals. They belong on the center-based paraprofessional team and attend collaborative meetings, professional development and supervision. Special knowledge, abilities and skills are articulated on the below chart. Education/Certification Requirements: Associate''s degree, at least two years of study at an institution of higher education (a minimum of 60 semester credits), or a passing score on a required ParaEducator assessment within 60 days of hire. Specific Tasks/Required Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: See attachment. Benefits of Employment: Eligible for benefits as negotiated between Student Support Staff (MSEA Association) and District 112.
