Key Responsibilities: This is an 8 hour/day position . Responsibilities include: Leadership & Operations Motivates custodians to provide a clean and safe environment for teachers, students, and staff. Collaborates with Buildings and Grounds leadership and building principals to identify priorities. Adjusts to the needs of supervisors and principals to meet cleaning objectives. Monitors equipment and supplies to avoid delays in service delivery. Collaborates with other custodial team members to provide support across facilities. Facilities & Event Care Perform routine and project cleaning of assigned areas. Assist with set-up and take-down of school activities. Keep sidewalks and other outdoor walkways clear of snow and ice. Perform other duties and assume other responsibilities as assigned or as needed. Qualifications Licenses: Certified Pool Operator License required ( or ability to obtain ). Appropriate boiler license required ( or ability to obtain ). Skills & Work Style: Focus on details and commitment to doing a good job required. Experience cleaning in a commercial setting preferred. Ability to get along with district employees and be courteous and helpful with students and general public. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and/or walk, twist, bend, stoop, squat, and/or climb stairs. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Ability to work in a variety of conditions and environments (e.g., dusty, wet, cold, hot, high humidity, noisy, indoors, outdoors, at heights, and in small spaces).
