About Zumbro Education District (ZED): ZED is an education district serving six member districts that include Triton, Kasson-Mantorville, Stewartville, Byron, Hayfield and Blooming Prairie. ZED offers a wide array of general education and special education services to our member districts (please refer to www.zumbroed.org for details). ZED has been in existence for over 30 years Area Learning Center (ALC): The ALC serves students in grades 6-12 with alternative programming. ALC teachers prioritize relationships first while delivering academic programming in various content areas; develop and deliver curricular content based on state and local standards; communicate and collaborate regularly with multiple stakeholders; implement whole group, small group, and differentiated instruction with a focus on personalized learning; embed social-emotional learning, various technologies and a variety of pedagogical approaches into daily activities; establish effective classroom systems with a focus on restorative and trauma-informed practices.
