Start Your Online Application Now Description: Shakopee Public Schools is searching for a Long Term Substitute (LTS) Special Education Teacher, Center Based DCD/ASD Program (1.0 FTE) to join the team at Shakopee High School from approximately November 10, 2026 through December 22, 2026. Job Summary: Responsible for delivering direct and indirect services to students with learning and/or social, emotional and behavioral needs; monitor and document student progress; develop/manage IEPs and facilitate team meetings; oversee paraprofessionals and collaborate with families and other staff on services and strategies. Qualifications: Current MN teaching license in Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) or Academic and Behavioral Strategist (ABS). Prior teaching experience preferred. Experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated instruction. Strong classroom management skills. Effective communication skills. Ability to build successful relationships with students, parents and staff. Working Conditions: Classroom, office, lifting, pushing, pulling, standing, sitting, keyboarding, etc. Physical ability to attend to personal care needs of students, if necessary. Pay Information: Daily rate ranges from $289.00 to $403.76 depending on education level. Our staff receives: Professional development opportunities provided by the District.
