Assistant Coach, Track and Field - Throwers Coach QUALIFICATIONS: - Proven knowledge and experience necessary to coach the activity - Good communication skills - Demonstrated organizational skills PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: - Ability to organize and supervise a coaching program - Previous coaching experience and knowledge base in assigned activity - Proven ability to work with middle school & high school aged students modeling positive character and responsible behavior - Commitment to continuous improvement - Confidence teaching the assigned activity POSITION SUMMARY: To direct, support and fully implement the assigned High School Activity Program with an education-based philosophy of teaching and coaching. Instruct all participants in the fundamental skills and strategies of the activity for them to realize a degree of individual and team success. Season runs March - June with camp and clinic opportunities in other seasons. Stipend available. Background check required.
