POSITION SUMMARY: The ELL Teacher is responsible for developing and delivering lesson plans and presenting district curriculum in assigned instructional subjects and evaluating and assessing student progress against instructional outcomes and objectives. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Provides consultation to school personnel and parents regarding ELL services; Provides and delivers ELL instruction to students incorporating the essential elements of the English Language; Plans and develops instructional plans, lessons, experiments, and other support activities; Evaluates student performance against learning objectives; Establishes and maintains student control and discipline in classroom, school premises or during school activities; Provides professional expertise and assistance to individuals, other staff and families concerning areas of instructional expertise and knowledge; Keeps abreast of changing developments, trends, instructional and educational technologies; Provides good public relations and customer service with member districts, staff, parents and the general public; Follows all policies and regulations; Regular and prompt attendance is essential and performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor&#8217;s Degree and moderate experience in a job-related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in a job-related field; proper MN Teacher licensure from MN Department of Education required.
