POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Work in collaboration with the Teaching and Learning Department to: * Program Development: Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of Secondary Literacy/Social Studies programs across the district. * Curriculum Support: Collaborate with teachers to integrate Secondary Literacy/Social Studies opportunities into new and existing curriculum, ensuring alignment with state standards and district goals. * Professional Development: Provide teachers with ongoing professional development and coaching to enhance their instructional practices. * Community Engagement: Build partnerships with local individuals, organizations, and community groups to expand resources and opportunities for students and teachers. * Assessment and Reporting: Monitor and assess the effectiveness of programs and initiatives, using data to inform decisions and report progress to district leadership. * Equity: Ensure that culturally and linguistically responsive resources and strategies are embedded inSecondary Literacy/Social Studies programs. * Advocacy: Advocate for the importance of Secondary Literacy/Social Studies in the holistic development of students and work to secure necessary resources and support. * Coordination: Assist with district-wide programming * Assist with the professional learning leadership committee * Attend PLAC meetings * Support the integration of digital tools and emerging technologies. * Assist in identifying and applying for Secondary Literacy/Social Studies grants and external funding opportunities to expand program resources and student access. * Build educator capacity in using data and formative assessment to inform instruction, interventions, and program adjustments. * Other duties as assigned: May include representation on district task forces, facilitation of instructional resource adoptions, or coordination of events. QUALIFICATIONS * Current MN teaching license * Bachelor&#8217;s degree in education (Master&#8217;s degree preferred). * At least five years of experience in education, with a focus on literacy and social studies. * Strong understanding of best practices in teacher retention and support. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building relationships and connecting with teachers from diverse backgrounds. * Ability to work collaboratively with school leaders, administrators, and other stakeholders. * Thorough understanding of the RAS Danielson Framework, the READ Act, MTSS, and the MN academic standards. * Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. * Commitment to the mission and values of Robbinsdale Area Schools and a passion for supporting teacher success. * Experience in a district level TOSA or Coordinator role preferred. Senior Director of Teaching and Learning

PURPOSE
