Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners, fostering their academic and social development. This role involves implementing engaging lesson plans, utilizing innovative teaching methods, and collaborating with parents and staff to support each child''s unique learning journey. Responsibilities Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles. Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love of learning. Utilize learning technology to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement. Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly. Provide individualized tutoring and support for students needing additional assistance. Manage classroom behavior effectively, employing strategies for early intervention when necessary. Communicate regularly with parents regarding student performance, behavior, and academic needs. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices, including Montessori methods and teaching physical education. Skills Familiarity with charter school educational frameworks is beneficial. Competence in utilizing learning technology to enhance classroom instruction. Ability to provide effective tutoring tailored to individual student needs. Excellent behavior management skills to maintain a conducive learning environment. Knowledge of early intervention techniques for supporting students with diverse needs. Strong communication skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues effectively. Experience working with children in an educational setting is essential. Required Qualifications: Valid Minnesota teaching license in appropriate field. Preferred Qualifications Considerable knowledge of the curriculum areas the teacher is responsible for instructing. Considerable knowledge of educational philosophy, teaching methods and approaches, current researched best practices and strategies. Considerable knowledge of students'' learning styles and needs, both academic and effective. Considerable knowledge of multicultural, gender and disability fair curriculum concepts. Working knowledge of instructional technologies. Considerable skill in classroom management and organization. Ability to effectively facilitate and/or participate in team meetings and parent meetings. Strong communication skills both written and verbal. Expert level of technology and 21st century learning understanding and application. Deep knowledge of content standards, effective instructional strategies, and assessment driven instruction. Strong Google Apps for Education skills (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Sites, etc). Effective written, verbal, and technology-based communication skills.
