Job Summary
Hiawatha Academies serves a multilingual community of students and families. The Language Access and Support Team (LAST) provides translation and interpretation services for Hiawatha families and leads the development, implementation and management of network-wide interpretation and translation systems. The Language Access Operations Coordinator (LAOC) is a key member of the Language Access and Support Team, handling the operations of the team by filtering incoming needs from the network and campuses, serving as a resource for staff that have questions about language access, and providing Spanish translations and Spanish interpretation virtually and in person. The LAOC works under the guidance of the Language Access and Support Director.
