Description: Roseville Area Schools has a vacancy for a Special Education Teacher. The licensed Special Education Teacher develops and provides specialized instruction aligned to the state standards to meet the unique needs of scholars with disabilities; evaluates and assesses scholar progress against instructional objectives; follows state-mandated due process procedures and functions as IEP Manager to assigned scholars; collaborates with general education staff; communicates regularly with parents/guardians; schedules scholars and paraprofessionals; supervises paraprofessionals. The candidate should possess strong instructional skills centered in cultural responsiveness; demonstrated commitment to developing lessons and instruction centered in racial and cultural responsiveness; demonstrated interest and effectiveness in working with elementary students; demonstrated ability to work collaboratively; and demonstrated use of formative assessments to assess and plan for student learning. This is a 1.0 FTE position starting August 25, 2025.

Qualifications:
* A MN Teaching License in Special Education is required.
* Commitment to an equitable education experience for all.
* Demonstrated understanding of cultural competence.
The candidate should also possess strong instructional skills centered in cultural responsiveness. Specific qualities include:
* Demonstrated commitment to developing lessons and instruction centered in racial and cultural equity.
* Experience working as part of a collaborative team
* Demonstrated use of formative assessments to assess student learning for planning and delivery of instruction
* Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching elementary students in small and large groups
Compensation: Minimum full-year, full-time starting salary for this position is $49,171, plus a district contribution toward health and dental insurance.
