This position will also include active supervision in the cafeteria and/or the playground. Description: Job duties may include, but are not limited to * Assists students, individually or in groups, with lesson assignments to present or reinforce social skill concepts. * Participates in developing and implementing behavior management plan for individual students * Demonstrates professional relationships with staff, student and families * Assists in conducting anecdotal observations and individualized child planning/goals * Maintains positive guidance techniques with children * Meet with the PBIS team and assist with data for meetings * Assist teachers in correct implementation plans and reinforcement of student behavior * Model and teach respect with an awareness of diversity of cultures and backgrounds * Work effectively and collaboratively with diverse student, staff and community populations * Maintain confidential student data. Avoid discussing other staff members or student discipline with anyone except referring and/or homeroom teachers, principals, social workers, etc * Be prepared to support referring staff about appropriateness of referrals, major and minor * Perform such other duties as assigned by the principal A diverse workforce fuels innovation and allows us to better understand, communicate with, and educate our students.
