Purpose Statement: This role exists to strengthen how technology is used in elementary learning environments to support student engagement, instructional clarity, and equitable access to learning through consistent, developmentally appropriate practices. The Technology Integration Specialist (TIS) serves as an instructional partner, working alongside educators, leaders, and district teams to: Support meaningful integration of Canvas and iPads in elementary classrooms to enhance teaching and learning outcomes Design and support engaging, accessible, and aligned learning experiences within the Hopkins Learning Framework Build educator capacity to use technology in ways that are intentional, developmentally appropriate, and instructionally impactful informed by Technology Use Guidance, research and best practices This role offers opportunities to shape district practice, influence system design, and grow as an instructional leader within a collaborative, values-driven team. The Elementary Technology Integration Specialist is an educator-leader and instructional partner who works alongside school teams to strengthen day-to-day classroom practice through coaching, modeling, and co-design. This role emphasizes a strong elementary educator skillset with demonstrated experience integrating Canvas and iPads in developmentally appropriate, instructionally meaningful ways. This position serves holistically as a member of the TIS team, balancing site-based instructional support with systemwide collaboration to foster coherence, consistency, and impact across the district''s technology integration ecosystem in service of student success, wellness, and personalized learning. Key Responsibilities: 1. Classroom Implementation & Instructional Coaching Partner with elementary educators to implement high-leverage, technology-supported instructional strategies Co-design and model engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences using Canvas and iPads Support educators in organizing instruction, communication, and feedback within Canvas Provide in-the-moment instructional and technical integration support for learning Support effective use of 1:1 iPads to enhance engagement, accessibility, and student agency Promote use of accessibility features and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) practices 2. Instructional Technology Integration & System Support Support consistent and effective use of Canvas across classrooms and grade levels Assist staff in selecting and using district-supported apps and tools aligned to learning goals Collaborate with TIS, DLS, IDL, and IS teams to ensure coherence in technology use Contribute to shared resources, exemplars, and supports that strengthen Tier 1 instructional practice and improved student outcomes Serve as a bridge between classroom implementation and district expectations for technology use 3. Professional Learning + Individual, Site & System Capacity Building Design and facilitate job-embedded professional learning focused on integration of Canvas, iPad, Technology Use and AI Literacy Guidance Support staff in building confidence and independence in using technology intentionally for learning Contribute to districtwide resources and professional learning aligned to elementary needs Share effective practices and support continuous improvement across sites Qualifications: Continued employment is contingent upon maintaining all required licenses/certificates in active status. Qualifications:

Continued employment is contingent upon maintaining all required licenses/certificates in active status.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minnesota teaching license in Elementary Education
  • Demonstrated successful experience using Canvas for learning facilitation in elementary settings
  • Demonstrated successful experience integrating iPads for learning facilitation in elementary settings
  • Ability to design and support developmentally appropriate, ethical, technology-enhanced learning
  • Bachelor''s degree in education or a closely related field
  • Driver''s license – travel required to locations throughout the District
  • Ability to perform work duties in an office and classroom setting
