Position : Visual Arts Teacher (PreK?4), 0.3 FTE School Year : 2026?2027 About Nasha Shkola Charter School: Nasha Shkola Charter School is a small K?8 public charter school located in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. Our mission is to provide a strong academic foundation while fostering multilingualism, multicultural understanding, and appreciation of Russian language and Slavic heritage. More than 90% of our students are multilingual learners. Nasha Shkola is not a language immersion school. Core academic instruction is delivered in English using evidence-based curricula aligned with Minnesota standards. Students also receive daily instruction in Russian language and culture as part of our unique heritage-focused educational program. Responsibilities Teach Visual Arts to students in PreK?4. Plan and deliver engaging art lessons aligned with Minnesota Academic Standards in the Arts. Introduce students to a variety of artistic techniques, media, artists, and cultural traditions. Foster creativity, self-expression, and appreciation for the visual arts. Coordinate several collaborative art projects and displays involving students in grades 5?8 throughout the school year, helping to promote school culture, creativity, and student engagement. Create a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment. Display and celebrate student artwork throughout the school year. Collaborate with classroom teachers and school staff to support student learning. Communicate effectively with families regarding student participation and progress. Participate in school events, performances, exhibitions, and professional development activities. Qualifications Applicants must hold or be eligible to obtain a Minnesota teaching license in Visual Arts or Elementary Education with appropriate qualifications to teach art. Strong interest in developing students'' artistic skills and creativity. Experience working with young children and multilingual learners is preferred but not required. Knowledge of a variety of art media and instructional strategies is desirable. A full position description is available upon request.
