Description To provide required classroom instruction, Parent Information Sessions and Knowledge Testing according to the Minnesota Driver Education Rules. Qualifications Must be at least 21 years of age Must possess a current, not expired, Minnesota Teaching License Must possess a valid, unexpired Traffic Safety Education certificate Must be willing to obtain certification and become licensed by the DPS to proctor MN State Knowledge Testing. Must possess a valid class D Driver''s License for 3 years. Must be able to work with individuals with a wide range of skills. Must have knowledge of the classroom curriculum for class D motor vehicles. Must have effective organization of lessons and preparation to conduct classroom instruction. Must have good organizational skills and demonstrate dependability, promptness, and punctuality. Must be able to work independently. Must possess effective oral and written communication skills. Schedule Flexibility & availability to work a varied schedule as necessary for classes and testing. Highly recommend also applying for the open ISD 728 posting for Behind-the-Wheel Instructor. Positions can be combined for employee to work a total of 40+ hours per week between a combination of hours as classroom instructor and Behind-the-Wheel instructor.
