Summary of Duties : To carry out instruction of students in the absence of the regular classroom teacher; follow regular lesson plans as closely as possible; use appropriate classroom management techniques to facilitate learning. Qualifications : It is required that you hold a valid Minnesota Teacher License (or Short-Call Substitute License) through PELSB (Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board). If you currently have a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree, you can become licensed as a substitute teacher. Contact Aitkin Public Schools District Office for more information. Rate of Pay : $140.00 per school day. Hours : Vary according to the substitute opportunity. School days are from 7:45 - 3:15 in Elementary and 8:00 - 3:30 High School.
