Jefferson Elementary provides programming for grades 1-4, focusing on small group instruction, responsive classroom, STEM opportunities, and core curriculum. We offer a middle school structure and environment for grades 5-8, focused on advisory, exploratory, and experiential learning opportunities. Our high school is for grades 9-12, offering college, vocational, and work-ready courses. We have many opportunities for fine arts and athletics for all students. A Career Technical Education (CTE) Center, provides students with opportunities in automotive, welding, manufacturing, fabrication, engineering, construction careers, and cabinetry.

Job Summary:
The Special Education Assessment Coordinator is responsible to collaborate with teachers, social workers, special education team, and other administrative personnel to provide the highest caliber of services to special education students. The assessment coordinator will support the school-wide evaluation process. The coordinator will provide the main communication between all interested parties in the design and implementation
of the special education system and program improvement processes. The coordinator will also support IEP meetings as a district representative.
Desired Qualifications
* Licensure in ECSE preferred
* Knowledge of evaluation process
* Knowledge of service delivery models and supporting the continuum of special education
* Ability to relate and communicate effectively with teachers, students, parents, and administrators from diverse cultures
* Ability to problem solve with staff and teams
* Knowledge of district special education programs
* Understanding and experience in assessment and data-driven decision-making
