Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Director of Curriculum, Instructional Technology, and Assessment. Qualification Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Essential Functions * Troubleshoots, repairs and maintains district hardware, software, networking equipment and office equipment. * Collaborates with phone company to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the district phone system. * Maintains records of services rendered. * Installs, maintains, upgrades and documents computer hardware and software. * Trains staff on district technologies and policies related to technology usage; provides individual training as needed. * Keeps records related to inventory and materials. * Schedules computer lab appointments for usage. * Updates and maintains lab and associated checkout calendars. * Researches and implements new technologies to assist with enriched classroom learning under the director. * Conducts iOS deployments and updates; trains staff; keeps applicable inventory records. * Processes orders of technology supplies as needed. * Collaborate with all schools media and technology specialists, as well as teaching staff to train and support staff and ensure school objectives are met. * Cleans and updates technology devices. * Reformats, renames and distributes new or updated assets for usage. * Supports all aspects of the iPad 1:1 project. * Prepares and maintains necessary technology for standardized testing. * Maintains various databases: Schoology, gmail, web-based curricular resources, etc. * Library, media and other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Thorough knowledge of the operation, uses and capabilities of electronic data processing and peripheral equipment; thorough knowledge of hardware and software procedures, techniques and programming language; thorough knowledge of systems analysis and networking; ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions; ability to analyze software programs and make minor adjustments; ability to write clear and concise reports; ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; ability to learn new technologies as they pertain to district needs; ability to keep related records, reports and files; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with officials, consultants, vendors, department heads and associates; ability to problem solve, be resourceful and maintain good customer service; ability to manage time and tasks efficiently. Education and Experience Associates/Technical degree with coursework in information technology, computer hardware and software, or related field and minimal experience troubleshooting, working at a helpdesk, providing end user support, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor's degree and Network Certificate preferred. Physical Requirements This work requires the occasional exertion of up to 25 pounds of force; work regularly requires speaking or hearing, using hands to finger, handle or feel and repetitive motions, frequently requires walking and climbing or balancing and occasionally requires standing, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, reaching with hands and arms, pushing or pulling and lifting; work requires close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust focus and color perception; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data, operating machines and observing general surroundings and activities; work occasionally requires exposure to the risk of electrical shock; work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. business office, light traffic).
