Job Description
Saint Helena is now accepting applications for a K-8 Physical Education who is responsible for the physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual development of our K-8 students. Applicants must be able to deliver engaging, well-planned lessons in physical education which are developmentally appropriate for a variety of ages. Candidates should have strong written and verbal language skills.
Mentoring will be provided to all new teachers, and tuition-free graduate degrees and other professional development is available to Saint Helena teachers through the Murray Institute at St. Thomas University. https://www.stthomas.edu/murrayinstitute.

Saint Helena has a rich, 97 year history of educating South Minneapolis youth. We serve a diverse student population in preschool through eighth grade and have one class per grade level. Our average class size of 12 allows us to know and nurture each student individually. We are supported by a strong, faith-filled parish community with one of the most beautiful churches in the Archdiocese.
Qualifications
● Bachelor of Arts Degree in a field related to the position
● A commitment to working in partnership with parents, colleagues, administration and students
● Strong written and verbal language skills
● Practicing Catholic
● A current Minnesota Teaching License (preferred)
