Description: Adult Education Teacher - English Language Learning. Weekly schedule is Monday and Thursday evenings from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with prep hours included. This position is located at Prior Lake High School in Prior Lake, with a specific area for teaching during the evenings. Job Summary: Provide instruction to adult learners in the core content areas as defined by the state of Minnesota, and specifically English Language to non-native populations. Responsibilities include lesson planning and instruction, conducting ongoing assessment, monitoring student attendance, collaborating with other staff, and keeping student records. Qualifications: * Experience working with multicultural populations and English language learners preferred. * Minnesota Teaching License in English Language Learners K-12 preferred. * Experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated instruction. * Proficient and effective computer skills. * Strong classroom management skills. * Ability to build successful relationships with students and staff. * Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with teams.
