Purpose/Summary Statement: MISSION STATEMENT Because every student has value as an image bearer of God, we provide opportunities to grow in wisdom, build healthy relationships, and serve our community. STATEMENT OF VISION We are an educational community that supports and develops one another in a lifelong journey of knowing Jesus. Specific Job Duties/Responsibilities: The Director of Development will be responsible for developing, implementing, managing and executing all fundraising activities related to advancing the mission of SCCS School. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to cultivating and nurturing major donor relationships, establishing goals, developing and executing robust programs for the SCCS Fund, major donor campaigns, planned giving campaigns, capital campaigns, annual events, member of the Finance Committee and building the endowment fund. The Director of Development is a proven effective leader and manager, and able to foster and encourage a culture of teamwork, success, and collaboration with and amongst staff, parents, and all stakeholders. Development Events: The ideal candidate for this position will have the ability to think outside the box, have a vision, be creative, learn new things quickly, be organized, have good time management skills, inspire others, and be able to execute these events hands on. Must believe in the mission and vision of SCCS and the importance of Christian Education. Listed below are current fundraising events SCCS hosts, but are open to new visions. This is not an exhaustive list of details that are required. Additional duties may be assigned to meet program needs. Run as One 5K/1K Fundraiser Festival of Lights Fundraiser Leaving a Legacy Fundraiser Giving Campaign End of Year Letters Qualifications: * Marketing experience * General Business and Program Development Experience * Strong Communication Skills Contract: * Part-time/ full-time - hours to be determined Performance Standards: * Job Knowledge: The ability to understand concepts and perform tasks and specialties outlined within the job role. * Work Quality: The ability to perform tasks to approved SCCS standards in a timely manner while displaying integrity. Flexibility is a key to working this position. * Punctuality and Time Management: The ability to consistently arrive in a method previously agreed upon, in person or remotely, and exercise conscious control over the amount of time spent on specific activities, while meeting deadlines with SCCS resources. * Initiative: The ability to take appropriate action and follow through with a plan or task without prompting. * Communication Skills: The ability to effectively and efficiently translate concepts and ideas. * Professional Integrity: The ability to display SCCS core values.
