Teach the core standard Minnesota classes (including math, social studies, science) in addition to Spanish Language; develop lesson plans and instructional materials; provide individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each pupil; teach district-approved curriculum; translate lesson plans into developmentally appropriate learning experiences; establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior to achieve an effective learning atmosphere; evaluate pupils' academic and social growth, maintain appropriate records and in a timely fashion prepare progress reports; communicate this information regularly with parents; identify pupil needs and make appropriate referrals and develop strategies for individual education plans; maintain a professional day, as defined by building/and contract; communicate regularly with parents outside normal classroom day by means of newsletters, notes, phone calls, e-mails, conferences, etc.; may plan and coordinate the work of Assurance of Mastery paraprofessionals and/or Student Support Paraprofessionals and volunteers in the classroom and on field trips; may provide input to the goal-setting process for paraprofessionals; maintain and improve professional skills by participating in building and department meetings, formal coursework, workshops and seminars in an effort to stay current with best teaching practices; participate in a personal professional goal-setting process on a regular basis; and teach Spanish in an immersion setting. Requirements: * BA or BS Degree in Education, Educational Psychology, or a related field. * Valid Minnesota Teaching License or ability to obtain licensure, and Fluency in Spanish. Job Title: Spanish Dual Language Immersion Teacher for the 2024/2025 school year

Job Duties:

Come be an integral part of building our Spanish Dual Language Immersion program in Hopkins!
