Maranatha Christian Academy (MCA) is a private school serving Grades Pre-kindergarten through 12 in Brooklyn Park, MN. MCA has an opening for an elementary innovation teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. The innovation teacher should have a propensity for technology and a desire to teach intro to robotics, engineering, coding, and cubelets at the elementary level. Essential Duties * Professes Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior; models a consistent, daily walk with Jesus Christ in attitude, speech, and actions * Follow Matthew 18 principles when dealing with students, parents, staff, and administration. * Prepares course objectives and outline for course of study following curriculum guidelines or requirements/standards of state and school and submits weekly to principal * Lectures, demonstrates, and uses audiovisual technology teaching aids to present subject matter to class. * Prepares, administers, and corrects tests, and records results. * Assigns lessons, homework, corrects papers, and hears oral presentations * Teaches rules of conduct * Maintains order in classroom and in auxiliary spaces on campus as well as off-site school-sponsored activities * Counsels students when academic and/or behavioral problems arise * Discusses students' academic and behavioral attitudes and achievements with parents * Keeps attendance and grade records as required by the school.
