Description: Position Summary: A Summer School Teacher is responsible for providing an educational atmosphere where students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and psychological growth. Job Duties: Creates engaging academic lessons to a multi-grade level group of students with a limit on three grade levels per room Implements instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences. Identifies, selects, and modifies instructional resources to differentiate for the needs of the students with varying backgrounds and learning styles. Progress monitors student achievement. Creates a positive learning experience with both group and individualized instruction models. Serves as primary contact for the parent. Provides direction, supervision and evaluation of educational assistants as directed. Communicate effectively with students, families, educators, and administrators regarding student interventions and progress. Identify needed social emotional lessons and implement them weekly. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Required Qualifications: Commitment to TCGIS&#8217;s mission, vision, values & strategic goals. Valid Minnesota teaching license in applicable grade level and subject area (and/or a commitment to work with TCGIS and the State Board of Teaching to receive provisional licensure) Eligible to work in the United States (and/or commitment to work with TCGIS to receive work permit). Dedicated, flexible and supportive of charter school concept. Must be a passionate, dedicated, and resourceful teacher A minimum of one year teaching experience preferred Strong working knowledge of Minnesota Learning Standards Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor&#8217;s Degree or higher in subject area.
