You will collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure that each student receives a high-quality education tailored to their individual needs through co-teaching and pull-out services. This position requires a deep commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment where all students have the opportunity to succeed. Responsibilities: * Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities in accordance with state and federal regulations, ensuring that goals are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound. * Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students with disabilities, including modifying curriculum, providing accommodations, and incorporating specialized instructional strategies. * Collaborate with general education teachers to design and deliver inclusive instruction that addresses the needs of students with disabilities within the context of the general education curriculum. * Provide direct instruction in small group or one-on-one settings to support students' academic, social-emotional, and behavioral development. * Utilize evidence-based practices and instructional technologies to enhance student learning and engagement. * Assess student progress regularly using a variety of assessment tools and techniques, and use data to inform instructional decision-making and modify instruction as needed. * Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress, including IEP goals, progress monitoring data, and anecdotal records. * Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress, discuss concerns, and collaborate on strategies to support student learning at home and at school. * Collaborate with support staff, such as paraprofessionals, speech-language pathologists, and occupational therapists, to provide comprehensive support services to students with disabilities. * Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in special education, relevant research, and legal requirements. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field from an accredited institution. * Valid Minnesota teaching license in Special Education (K-12) or the ability to obtain licensure prior to employment. * Experience working with students with disabilities, preferably in a middle school setting. * Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices. * Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents/guardians, colleagues, and other stakeholders. * Flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to embrace inclusive practices and work as part of a multidisciplinary team. * Dedication to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in education. * Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting the academic and social-emotional development of students with disabilities. Position Summary:
