JOB DESCRIPTION: * Leadership: possess skills and competence in the ability to mentor Clinical Fellows, Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants * Determine the CFY supervision needs * Collaborate with colleagues in sharing knowledge regarding best practices * Facilitating monthly PLCs and professional development opportunities * Organizing and facilitating orientation for SLPs new to RPS * Knowledge of eligibility criteria and due process * Support for SLP&#8217;s in scheduling/problem solving and absence coverage plans * Respond to peer inquiries in a prompt and timely manner * Skillful communication and conflict resolution * Research best practices and gather information at the request of the SPED Directors * Attend monthly meetings with SPED Directors and communicate the summary to SLP group * Maintain SLP protocols * Create PD Express courses for PD opportunities provided by RPS * Participate in the interview teams for SLP candidates * Demonstrate competency in the use of SPED Forms and billing procedures * Other duties as assigned by Directors of Special Education * ?Tier 2 SLP Supervision QUALIFICATIONS: Current Minnesota teaching license required. Prior successful experience in urban, multicultural education desirable. Demonstrates continued professional development through course work, research, peer collaboration, and/or job-embedded staff development.
