Maranatha Christian Academy (MCA) is a private school serving Grades Pre-kindergarten through 12 in Brooklyn Park, MN. MCA is hiring a Science teacher for the 2024–2025 school year.
Essential Duties
- Professes Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior; models a consistent, daily walk with Jesus Christ in attitude, speech, and actions
- Follow the Matthew 18 principle in dealing with students, parents, staff, and administration
- Prepares course objectives and outline for course of study following curriculum guidelines or requirements/standards of state and school and submits weekly to principal
- Lectures, demonstrates, and uses audiovisual technology teaching aids to present subject matter to class
- Teaches rules of conduct
- Maintains order in classroom and in auxiliary spaces on campus as well as off-site school-sponsored activities
- Counsels students when behavioral problems arise
- Discusses students' academic and behavioral attitudes and achievements with parents
- Keeps attendance and grade records as required by the school
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S..) from four-year college or university in Science education.
Desired License: Minnesota state teaching license in Science 9–12
