Qualifications:
* Able to meet requirements under "Standards of Group Day Care of Preschool and School-Age Children, for teachers, DHS Rule 3", Department of State of MN.
* Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred. Ability to work well with young children and parents.
* Excellent communication, flexibility, organizational and cooperation skills.
* Creativity in planning developmentally appropriate curriculum.
* Interest in or understanding of the Reggio Emilia approach.
Job Summary:
* This position requires flexibilty with varied hours, days of the week, and locations.
* Understands and implements Stepping Stones/Kaleidoscope program philosophy, policies and procedures.
* Steps into any position at a Stepping Stones or Kaleidoscope site as required.
* Leads classroom activities, supervises children, keeps accurate records, and cooperates with or directs any assistant or volunteer assigned to the classroom.
* Communicates information to the regular classroom staff.
* Assist Preschool Supervisor in lining up subs for staff.
Compensation and Hours:
* Salary determination dependent upon qualifications.
* Start ASAP, 1.0 FTE.
