Benton Stearns Education District Early Childhood Family Education Parent Educator Anticipated Start Date: August 2024-182 day contract Salary: Placement per the EdMN Benton-Stearns Master Agreement, based on education and experience Other Compensation: Paid professional development opportunities, health insurance, paid time off Application Closing Date: Open until filled POSITION OVERVIEW: The Benton-Stearns Education District 6383 is seeking qualified applicants for full time (1.0) teaching position for our Birth-3 Early Intervention Program as an Early Childhood Parent Educator. QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have a valid Minnesota teaching license(s). Due to the nature of our program, a licensure in Parent Education along with an Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Certificate is preferred. Other teaching licenses will be considered based on applicants' experience and ability to qualify for a Tiered License in early childhood special education. The applicant should also show a willingness to obtain an Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Certificate. The Early Childhood Parent Educator is responsible for planning, facilitating and conducting home visits with the early intervention staff and serves as a resource to the family on various parenting topics. ABOUT US: Benton-Stearns Education District (BSED) provides support to six-member school districts (Foley, Holdingford, Kimball, ROCORI, Sartell-St. Stephen and Sauk Rapids-Rice) that have joined together to provide services in the area of special education. The Benton-Stearns Education District main office is located in Sartell, MN which is a suburb of St. Cloud.
