The School Data Specialist is responsible for collecting, analyzing, interpreting and preparing reports for school-wide academic data, community survey data, student wellness data, and data in support of each school&#8217;s system goals. Individuals applying must have a clear understanding of assessment data and will be the site testing coordinator (MCA, Fastbridge, NWEA). This person will also be responsible for creating new data collection systems that align with school improvement goals. This role is able to perform their duties in an inclusive manner that is aligned with Hopkins&#8217; core values and the Vision 2031 strategic plan. This role is part of the district&#8217;s data team and is supervised by the school principal. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: This class specification lists the major duties and requirements of the job and is not all-inclusive. Incumbent(s) may be expected to perform job-related duties other than those contained in this document and may be required to have specific job-related knowledge and skills. * The responsibility of this position is to create a master schedule that is coupled with and informed by individual students&#8217; schedules that reflect every aspect of elementary and secondary students&#8217; learning and cohort experiences. These schedules would be built and accessed in the student information system. This complex scheduling will require a thorough understanding of Infinite Campus scheduling, creating master schedules and rostering all students into all of their courses, activities, specials, and small group lessons. The school data specialist will work closely with the principal to create school schedules that are complete, meet the needs of all learners, and are consistent with district scheduling practices. * This position will collect, manage, verify school data and provide the first level of support for Hopkins data systems including: * Infinite Campus (student information system containing master and student schedules, rostering, attendance, census data, ad-hoc and standard reports) * Canvas (learning management system containing course assignments, enrollments, parent accounts, report) * Qualtrics (survey management software containing community surveys, observation forms, evaluation systems) * Tableau (data visualization system containing up-to-date dashboards on key system indicators) * Additional site-level data and assessment systems as directed by school/program administration (e.g., Panorama) * Ensure all student and family data are detailed, complete, and accurate in Infinite Campus * Collaborate with school leadership to create and manage a complete and detailed schedule for every learner * Manage daily student attendance in Infinite Campus * Lead student information system training and support for school staff * Lead assessment data presentations and protocols for school staff * Support Learning Management System access for caregivers, customize enrollments, ad-hoc course creation * Provide Level 1 support for district enterprise applications to school staff * Act as site communicator for district-wide data team and support some district-level data work * Maintain, administer, and monitor district data protocols at site-level * Perform data extracts as requested by school leadership, and as needed for data integration to support additional district and third-party systems used by the school site * Provide support to district staff in using Hopkins data systems * Act as Site Assessment Coordinator in collaboration with the District Assessment Coordinator for all local and state assessments * Interpret school wide data for team meetings, staff meetings, leadership meetings and other stakeholders. * Assist with data analysis in Professional Learning Communities and/or teacher/team data meetings * Manage the collection of student assessment data Many of the above tasks are done in coordination with the school administration team, district instructional scientist, district enterprise information specialists, and district assessment coordinator. * Attend live trainings and engage in self-paced trainings as directed to support administering Hopkins enterprise technology systems * Collaborate with other School Data Specialists to build knowledge and best practices around student scheduling, school data management, analysis and application * Collaborate with the district data team to support the collection, analysis, and communication of data in accordance with site and district goals * Assist with office/clerical duties as needed as a part of the school office team * Greet families and visitors and assist with their needs * Assist in the school outreach, marketing, and recruitment efforts to boost enrollment in coordination with district enrollment office QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and Experience: * Bachelor&#8217;s degree in data, statistics, education, or related field required * Advanced technical and application certifications related to job requirements desired * Experience working in a K-12 environment or enrollment in an administrative licensure program * Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel * Experience with Google G-Suite for Education preferred * Experience extracting data and ad-hoc reporting tools from HRIS, ERP, or SIS applications Required Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Continued employment is contingent upon all required licenses and certificates being maintained in active status without suspension or revocation. * Driver&#8217;s license.
