Position: Physical Education Teacher School: Minnesota Math and Science Academy, St. Paul, MN MInnesota Math and Science Academy is a K-12 public charter school located in St. Paul, Minnesota. MMSA is searching for an incredible teacher who wants to be a part of something special and strives to make a difference in the lives of our students. This position commences with the 2024-25 school year. Roles and Responsibilities: * Teach knowledge and skills in physical fitness, appropriate health education, rhythms and dance, and individual or team sports, utilizing course of study based on Minnesota State Standards. * Analyzes, demonstrates, and explains basic skills, knowledge, and strategies of formal sports, games, rhythms, and fundamentals of body movement. * Provides individualized and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each pupil, to the extent feasible. * Provides appropriate safety instructions and makes safety checks on equipment and field areas to insure the overall safety of pupils. * Maintains control of storage and use of school-owned property. * Maintains standards of pupil behavior needed to provide an orderly, productive environment in the physical education areas. * Evaluate each pupil's growth in physical skills, knowledge, and contribution in team sports. * Maintains professional competence through in-service education provided by the District and/or in self-selected professional growth activities. * Maintains courteous and professional relationships with students, parents and staff Qualifications: * Valid MN teaching license * Willingness to work with students with unique backgrounds and skills Application Instructions: To apply, email cover letter, resume, and three letters of recommendation to r.vetsch@mmsaweb.org<mailto:r.vetsch@mmsaweb.org>
