Summer Camp Manager - Star Lake Wilderness Camp

Camp Manager The Camp Manager works under the direction of the Executive Director, and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the camp. This includes assisting with the training and supervising of seasonal staff, ensuring all camp policies and government regulations are being followed, and all necessary communications and reporting is completed. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Oversee and direct all seasonal staff in the daily operation of camp * Support and mentor staff in their individual responsibilities, including offering appropriate feedback and guidance * Ensure all camp policies and government regulations are followed * Model professional behavior for staff, campers, and volunteers * Become familiar with the Positive Youth Development Curriculum from the University of Minnesota and provide staff training in said methodology prior to campers&#8217; arrival * Acquire CPR and first aid certification prior to the arrival of campers (training provided, if not already certified) * Lead regular staff meetings * Maintain all necessary documentation * Communicate with parents as necessary * Maintain regular communication with the Executive Director * Manage volunteers in their efforts to assist the camp * Lead ongoing training as assigned by the Executive Director * Participate in camp opening and closing * Assist with physical operation and maintenance duties as needed * There is a potential to do some community outreach to sign up campers Qualifications: * Four-year college degree preferred * Excellent verbal communication skills and leadership skills * Experience developing camp or educational curriculum and managing a team of educators or staff * Exhibit qualities such as patience, kindness, honesty, responsibility, compassion, and desire to help others * Must be comfortable participating in all camp activities with the children and encouraging them to participate as well * First Aid and CPR certification. Training will be provided * Available Wednesday, June 26th - Friday, August 2nd Compensation: Starts at $500/week and is adjusted to match experience. Camp Manager
