LAURA JEFFREY ACADEMY is the first STEM-focused middle school in MN with a comprehensive liberal arts, girl-focused curriculum. Our purpose is to provide a unique and stimulating education environment where students are free &#8211; to explore their potential, discover their brilliance and develop their intellect. We are looking for educators committed to social justice and equity in learning for all students. Position: Office Administrator (temporary) The Laura Jeffrey Academy Office Administrator will be responsible for ensuring organizational effectiveness by providing leadership for the school office and logistics. The largest of these functions include coordinating student transportation, student registration and attendance, and family communications. In addition, you will provide for office needs and coordinate student health services with the nurse consultant. Responsibilities: Operational: - Participate in and oversight of day-to-day operations of the school - Responsible for securing and maintaining contractual relationships with vendors, including transportation, food service, and facilities - Assist and complete reports as directed by LJA&#8217;s Leadership team - Ensure compliance with reporting and other statutory obligations - Maintain Annual Immunization records in accordance with LJA&#8217;s school nurse - Support LJA&#8217;s hiring process - MARRS and Ed-Fi Coordination - Coordinate bus transportation with SPPS - Coordinate special transportation for Special Education and homeless and highly mobile students - Responsible for preparation of World&#8217;s Best Workforce - Other operational tasks as assigned Fiscal: - Order office and building supplies as needed - Financial supports (invoices, bills, payroll, petty cash, deposits, etc.) - Provide financial reports to governmental agencies as mandated by law - Arrange for annual audit with an outside independent auditor as required by statute Qualifications: - Four-year college, Masters degree preferred - Experience with school operations and practices - Commitment to the mission of Laura Jeffrey Academy - Excellent computer skills and proficient in web-based applications and website management - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative working style. - A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace - Ability to excel at operating in a fast-paced, community environment - Ability to look at situations from several points of view Compensation: Salary range of $35,000 - $45,000 annually, depending on experience. Salary will be prorated based on start date and total weekly hours.
