MISSION STATEMENT Riverside Christian School exists to provide a Bible-based education, centered on Christ, equipping students for a lifetime of learning, leadership, service, and worship. Brief Description: The Middle and High School Principal at Riverside Christian School (RCS) holds a pivotal role in advancing the educational mission and upholding the Christian values of the institution. The ideal candidate should possess a Master&#8217;s degree in educational leadership or administration, a valid teacher's license (ND or MN), and a minimum of two to five years of experience in an educational role. While Christian education experience is preferred, it is not mandatory. Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills are essential, along with a commitment to Christian faith and values. Responsible to: President Status: Exempt-Full Time Professional Qualifications: * Master&#8217;s degree in educational leadership or educational administration (or in progress of degree). * Valid teacher's license (ND or MN). * Minimum of two to five years experience in an educational role, Christian education experience preferred, however, not required. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Administrative: * Lead the spiritual mission of RCS middle and high schools. * Supervise teaching staff, enhance instruction, select curriculum, and manage discipline. * Direct daily operations, coordinate activities, and ensure a quality educational environment. * Collaborate with the President and the PreK/Elementary Principal to update the RCS Student Handbook annually. * Provide reports, documents, and policy suggestions as needed. * Prepare monthly reports for the Board and attend Board meetings as required. * Collaborate with Admissions & Marketing for student enrollment, fundraising, and marketing. * Conduct interviews with prospective students and parents, making admission decisions. * Collaborate with Admissions & Marketing to promote the middle and high school reenrollment and enrollment drives annually. * Conduct new student orientation and coordinate yearly calendars with the PreK/Elementary School Principal and President. * Assist in organizing middle school and high school functions, in-service programs, and special events. * Assist in preparing the annual middle school and high school budget. * Supervise special projects such as student retreats, concerts, and MS/HS staff convention trip. * Student Learning: * Evaluate and align programs with RCS&#8217;s mission and vision. * Set educational goals and oversee program development. * Collaborate with staff on middle and high school programming. * Ensure adequate teaching resources and materials. * Engage with organizations like ACSI for educational trends. * Ensure curriculum surpasses Minnesota and North Dakota standards. Student Guidance: * Clearly define learning standards and outcomes. * Assess student learning outcomes per MN/ND standards. * Lead educational planning, including personalized learning plans and college readiness support. * Schedule parent/student conferences at least twice yearly. * Enforce student discipline based on handbook guidelines. * Offer resources and support to parents as required. * Maintain confidentiality and data privacy. * Provide student spiritual mentoring, including chapel assistance. * Adhere to school policies and procedures. Personnel Development: * Shepherd the middle school and high school personnel by providing servant leadership. * Provide appropriate guidance to paraprofessionals in the classroom. * Assist with assessing current middle school and high school personnel semi-annually. * Identify needs for the hiring of middle school and high school personnel and provide that information to the President. * Assist with personnel interviews and make recommendations of applicants to the RCS Board. * Facilitate conflict resolution in a Christ-centered manner (Matthew 18). Institutional and Spiritual Development: * Support the President in cultivating a strong public relations program for middle school and high school. * Foster wholesome relationships with all Christ-centered, Bible-teaching churches in the community. * Maintain regular communication with middle school and high school students and families. Facility Management: * Coordinate with President to ensure that appropriate safety measures are in place on the campus to provide a safe school environment including the Emergency Procedures Manual and regularly scheduled drills for staffs and students. * Coordinate facility maintenance with President. * Consult with the President to determine when school is to be closed or have delayed openings due to adverse weather conditions or emergencies. Professional Growth: * Engage in and document professional development and continuing education endeavors. * Maintain valid teaching license in assigned areas.
