Job Description:
St. Timothy’s Catholic School in Maple, Lake Minnesota is now accepting applications for a full-time elementary, fifth grade teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. We are a Catholic School supported by a vibrant community of families who are committed to Catholic identity, academic excellence, character development, and spiritual formation.
The Ideal Candidate will:
▪ Be an actively practicing Catholic
▪ Contribute to the faith community of Saint Timothy’s
▪ Support children’s learning through developmentally appropriate practices, assessments, and hands-on experience
▪ Demonstrate the ability to support the intellectual, social, emotional, and physical growth of each student
▪ Create a meaningful, functional and inviting learning environment
▪ Utilize technology in the classroom for teaching and learning
▪ Work in partnership with teachers, classroom assistants, specialists, and support staff
▪ Communicate Effectively with students, families, staff members, and the community
▪ Demonstrate a commitment to on-going professional development
▪ Model a professional, respectful, and positive attitude.
▪ Have a passion for Catholic school education
Requirements:
1. BA/BS degree
2. Current State of Minnesota Teaching License – Have and maintain appropriate credentials for presentations.
3. Demonstrated appropriate educational experiences
4. Practicing Catholic
5. Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collegially with others
6. Demonstrated ability to make decisions
7. Demonstrated ability to work without supervision
8. Demonstrated ability to learn and implement new educational strategies
9. Demonstrated ability to manage and maintain a classroom of students effectively
10. Demonstrated ability to take direction from the principal and effectively complete new programs, processes, and procedures as directed
11. Pass required background check, complete required initial training and maintain current Essential 3 (E3) requirements of the Archdiocese of St Paul and Minneapolis
