About STMA Schools
We are a district that serves over 6,700 students and employs 750+ employees in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our district is comprised of one primary school for preschool and kindergarten students, three elementary schools for grades 1-4, two middle schools for grades 5-8, and one high school for grades 9-12.
Position Overview & Responsibilities
The position is part of a district-wide team of Licensed School Nurses and health paraprofessionals who work to support STMA schools, and will primarily serve our elementary schools. Responsible for identifying, removing, and remediating health-related barriers to learning and to ensure the health and safety of students and staff. Serves as a liaison between school, parents/guardians, and community in health-related matters. For more information, please see the job description for this position.
Start date: August 26, 2024 (new-to-district will have orientation August 20th and 21st, 2024)
FTE: .75 (approximately 30 hours/week)
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Requirements & Qualifications
Requires Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and all requirements of the MN Professional Education Licensing and Standards Board licensure as a school nurse (LSN). Two to four years of experience in an educational or public health environment required. One year of experience working with children with special needs is preferred.
