Rollingstone Community School (RCS) Located just west of the Mississippi River by Winona, MN, Winona State University and Saint Mary&#8217;s University, RCS is located in the rural community of Rollingstone. RCS is a rural charter school that offers a balanced approach to STEAM learning in a diverse and inclusive environment for approximately 100 students Kindergarten through 5th grade. RCS believes that students learn to their potential when they are inspired. With rich STEAM content and a vibrant emphasis on personalized learning, students are empowered and encouraged to be active and engaged learners. RCS faculty embody the values of academic excellence, a diverse and authentic community, and strong character building. Our teachers are themselves learners, constantly searching for ways to improve their practice. A robust professional development program supports our faculty. Special Education Responsibilities The RCS Special Education Teacher will engage all students as a creative and compassionate professional supporting a school culture in which students love learning. They will establish and engage students with a positive and productive suite of special education services through proactive methods, a clear management system, and strong student rapport. They will engage and inspire students allowing each child to feel known and valued in promoting their enjoyment of learning. The RCS Special Education Teacher will design and administer a range of special education supports, interventions, and assessments that reflect an awareness of different learning styles and language skills. The special education teacher will be supported by HVED coordinators and directors.
