Long-Term Substitute FACS (Family and Consumer Science) Teacher at Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City Junior Senior High School
April 23rd-May 23rd
$170/day (4 days per week Tuesday-Friday)
Qualifications:
B.A/B.S degree in teaching from an accredited institution or related field teaching + MN FACS (or similar) teaching license.
Minnesota State certification in teaching in appropriate subject area.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Must have the ability and proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis.
Perform all other related work delegated or required to accomplish the objectives of the total school program.
Knowledge and implementation of relevant technology, including the use of ipads in order to individualize learning.
Meet professional teacher education requirements of school, district and state.

Substitute Teacher Responsibilities:
· Assume duties of the classroom teacher in accordance with school district lesson plans, school rules, and Kelly policies. This includes:
· Leading instruction in the classroom by conducting the teacher’s existing lesson plans
· Teaching students on a variety of classroom topics/courses
· Building positive relationships
· Assigning reasonable tasks and homework
· Empower students to learn, and encourage classroom participation
· Create a classroom environment that’s conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students
· Adapt to the various learning styles of students
· For long-term assignments, it may be required to develop lessons plans, as well as create, administer, and grade tests and assignments
Minimum requirements:
· Substitute Teacher – Bachelor’s degree with MN Teaching or Substitute License
