This position will play a crucial role in supporting the overall educational and administrative functions of our school district. The Assistant Principal will work closely with the Principals and staff to ensure a positive and productive learning environment for our students. This is a temporary position to provide leadership during a period of transition. Job Duties: 1. Assist the Principal in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the K-12 school. 2. Collaborate with teachers and staff to support the implementation of curriculum, instruction, and assessment strategies. 3. Support the development and implementation of school policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with district goals and state regulations. 4. Foster a positive and inclusive school climate by promoting a safe and respectful learning environment. 5. Handle student discipline issues, including investigating incidents, implementing appropriate consequences, and maintaining accurate records. 6. Support the Principal in evaluating and providing feedback to teachers on their instructional practices. 7. Assist in the planning and coordination of school-wide events, such as parent-teacher conferences, open houses, and graduation ceremonies. 8. Collaborate with parents, guardians, and community members to address concerns and build positive relationships. 9. Provide guidance and support to students, addressing their academic, social, and emotional needs. 10. Collaborate with the Principal to manage the school's budget and resources effectively. 11. Stay updated with current educational trends, research, and best practices to support continuous improvement initiatives. 12. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Principal or Superintendent. Qualifications: - Master's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field. - Valid administrative licensure or certification. - Previous experience in a leadership role within a K-12 educational setting is preferred. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. - Knowledge of current educational practices, curriculum, and assessment strategies. - Familiarity with state and federal regulations governing K-12 education. - Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, students, parents, and community members. - Strong organizational and time management skills.
