Job: Early Learning Coordinator This postion is for the 2024-2025 school year, starting 7/1/2024. FTE: 1.0 Job Summary: The Early Learning Coordinator is responsible for overseeing early learning programs and services within the district, including supervision of birth to 3, Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE), voluntary preK, and school readiness staff, to ensure that district policies are followed, district and state standards are achieved, and that the educational needs of all students are met. This position requires collaboration with students, staff, parents, and district administrators to ensure the effective implementation of all early childhood programs, Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and support services for students with special needs. The coordinator will also be responsible for managing and coordinating resources, providing guidance and support to early childhood staff, and promoting inclusive practices within the school community. Using the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP), this position promotes a learning community for students to become culturally aware, inquisitive, and active learners. Responsibilities: * Provide leadership and supervision of all early childhood programs and staff. * Provide oversight and management of ECSE and screening programs. * Evaluate and observe early childhood staff and programs. Interact with parents, staff, and students at sites, events and in the community. Assist with parent and/or staff concerns about students and handle program communications. * Maintain the registration process, timesheets, and early childhood budgets. * Collaborate with the Teaching and Learning department to develop, implement, and monitor a comprehensive, standards-based early learning curriculum aligned with state, district, and International Baccalaureate (IB) standards. * Analyze academic and behavioral data to identify areas of strength and need for students with disabilities and provide recommendations for intervention and support. * Provide coaching and feedback to early childhood staff on effective instructional strategies, data collection, and progress monitoring. * Collaborate with the special education team in the development and implementation of IEPS, ensuring compliance with federal and state guidelines. * Work in collaboration with building administrators to build student schedules that align with IEP servies and needs. * Allocate building caseloads at the beginning of the school year and also throughout the year as students move into the district. * Coordinate and monitor the provision of appropriate services and accommodations for students with special needs. * Collaborate with general education teachers and other stakeholders to promote inclusive practices. * Provide guidance and support to teachers and other staff members on best practices for working with students with special needs. * Collect and analyze data related to student progress and program effectiveness, making recommendations for program improvements as necessary. * Stay up-to-date with current research and best practices in the fields of early childhood education, special education, and the International Baccalaureate, attending professional development opportunities and sharing knowledge with staff. * Stay up-to-date with IB requirements and best practices in alignment with the Primary Years Programme (PYP). * Ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations related to special education, such as IDEA, Section 504 and ESSA. * Work with all case managers to determine what para needs are on an ongoing basis for scheduling paraeducators into classes based on meeting the needs of students. * Conduct paraeducator annual evaluations. * Lead monthly paraeducator meetings. * Advise and support administration and master scheduler to develop the master schedule. * Attend weekly child study meetings. * Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Special Services and Assistant Director of Special Services. Qualifications: * Degree in Special Education or related field required. * Director of Special Education or K-12 Principal license required. * Minimum of five years of experience in the field of early childhood or special education. * Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to early childhood and special education. * Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills. * Experience working with early childhood programs and students with disabilities. * Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including students, staff, parents, and community members. * Proficient in using technology for data collection, analysis, and communication purposes. * Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with diverse stakeholders. * Knowledge of current trends and research in special education. Job Summary:

The Early Learning Coordinator is responsible for overseeing early learning programs and services within the district, including supervision of birth to 3, Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE), voluntary preK, and school readiness staff, to ensure that district policies are followed, district and state standards are achieved, and that the educational needs of all students are met.
